We offer a variety of advertising/marketing solutions for your products and services to target the large Chinese community at the University of Toronto.

Our advertising solutions include magazines (print and online), events (from small to large), and e-solutions such as website, BBS, and mailing lists. We recognize that our sponsors might be interested in multi-channel advertising, and therefore we have created a variety of packages that meet the needs and budgets of our sponsors.

Advertising on our magazines

We publish two magazines, UTChinese and WhoCares?. Studies showed that advertising on magazines has many advantages over other media.

The UTChinese magazines focus on career, culture, art, and hot topics. With five issues per year and a minimum circulation size of 2,000 copies per issue, the magazines are full-colour printed and being distributed at all three campuses at the University of Toronto. The WhoCares? magazines focus on news, entertainment, life styles, fashion, horoscope, and other hot topics. With a minimum circulation size of 500 copies per issue, the magazines are full-colour printed and being distributed mainly at the downtown campus of the University of Toronto on a monthly basis from September to March. Advertising on our events

We organize some of the largest events at the University of Toronto year-round. Most of our events focus on career or business-related topics, ranging from larger events such as conferences to smaller events such as the Career Seminars. We also organize large fundraising events such as the New Year Concerts. Occasionally, we organize other types of events such as semi-formals.

In addition to our external events mentioned above, we also organize a number of internal events for our near-150 team members. These events include team parties, cottage trips, and more. Advertising on our website, BBS or mailing lists

Our website and BBS is professionally designed with multi-browser support including viewing from smart phones and tablets. We offer a variety of available positions to serve online advertisements. We also work on search engine optimization to increase traffic. We have experience working with Commission Junction network and Google AdSense Program.

We manage multiple mailing lists with near 5,000 subscribers. We send out emails on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the subscription categories as well as our magazine and event schedules. While we do not send out pure-advertisement emails, our sponsors could have dedicated sections.

We maintain continuity in our management and operations

We do not practice elections. Unlike most student organizations, we do not replace our entire management team every year by an election. This has several advantages:

  • We are responsible for our next years, which include our relationships with sponsors.
  • It is much easier for us to maintain connected with our sponsors, and our sponsors enjoy continuity in terms of our services and promises.
  • We are able to implement multi-year plans incorporating the needs of our sponsors.
